Early this year, just a week before the school year officialy started, we planned on having a camping getaway. To save on travel time, we opted for somewhere just a few hours away from Manila.

We met at around 5am, we had breakfast first and started traveling at 6am. We got there by car at around 10 am (travel time is 3-4 hours).

Before going to the beach proper, we went first at the local market to buy all the things that we would be needing because it’s a long drive from the beach to the market. We bought food, water etc.

Upon arriving at Burot Beach, we parked our car just a few meters away from our tents. Actually you can park your car anywhere. Some would say that they didn’t like the idea of cars parked near the beach. But for me, I liked the idea of having a piece of comfort within your reach in the midst of being like a homeless person. HAHA! And by that, I mean I didn’t have to worry about running out of phone battery (for instagram purposes lol) or for a more serious note, for emergencies. You’ll never know right? *wink

What I love about this getaway was, this trip was really budget friendly! We were a group of 6 and we just spent around 700-800 each. Definitely less than a thousand pesos. All included. The rent for the kitchen tools, tent, gas, toll, table, and food! We really had above decent meals (chicken and pork barbecue, hotdogs, rice, all day snacks and some “drinks” too! hehehe plus more).
