My friends and I were rooting for La Union this last long weekend but for some reasons our group of 10 (supposedly) went down to 3. But as they say, “the show must go on“. So me and my girls just decided to go for a much less travel time for our weekend getaway.

After endless browsing and searching on the internet, I came along Crystal Beach Resort in Zambales (formerly known as La Paz Beach Resort) which is just 3-4 hours away from Manila.

At 7am, we took the first trip to Iba Zambales at Victory Liner Cubao. We arrived at the resort at around 11am. Upon arriving at the Resort, we were greeted warmly and happily by their staff at the lobby.

*there’s a sari sari store where you can buy some of your basic toiletries, also some snacks and drinks.

Since their check in policy is at 2pm, we ate first our lunch at their restaurant which is the King Solomon’s Hall. Food price is around P150-300, takes about 20-25 mins to prepare but their food really tastes good and the serving is good for two persons already.

We finished eating at around 1pm and we’re so happy that the resort allowed us for an early check in.

*House of Ezra

I prebooked our “house” which is the House of Ezra. It is a unique type of accommodation. An Ifugao type house with two floors inside, four beds and has a chill dining/gathering area underneath ( me and my girls’ fav part! Also the hammock just beside the house). I mean how cool is that? Haha

There are also a lot of other houses in the Resort which are named after Bible characters which I find as another plus because I think it added a peaceful and retreat type of ambience to the resort. You can choose your type of House depending on the number of people staying. If you prefer the camping type, you can also set up your tents with just a minimal fee of 200 pesos if I’m mistaken.

Next on our agenda is the beach! One of the most beautiful beaches I’ve seen. The sand is not white though but I still love everything! From their small cottages, nipa huts and hammocks and the white chairs by the beach! Perfect place to grab a beer or two and just enjoy the view.
